Key Responsibilities:

  • Tactical Expertise: Expertise in game analysis and player development.

About the Role:

 

The Northland Male Academy Manager will play a vital leadership role within Northland Rugby. This position calls for a forward-thinking and strategic leader to guide the direction and operations of the Northland Academy.

 

As Academy Manager, you will oversee talent identification and player development across the Northland region. In close collaboration with the NPC Head Coach you will help ensure effective succession planning by identifying, connecting and recruiting promising players into the Academy. 

 

A crucial aspect of this role is guiding the personal and professional growth of players, emphasizing life skills and education in parallel with their rugby development. You will collaborate closely with the Player Development Manager to deliver a holistic welfare program that supports the well-being of all Academy members.

AUCKLAND RUGBY UNION - FPC HEAD COACH

This is a rare opportunity to work with some of New Zealand’s best emerging talent, be part of New Zealand’s largest union and contribute to Auckland Rugby’s rich and proud heritage. 

 

Auckland Rugby are searching for a Head Coach to lead the Auckland Storm in the Women’s National Provincial Competition (Farah Palmer Cup). The Head Coach position will be responsible and accountable for creating a quality performance environment that allows all within it to thrive and contribute. Through detailed campaign planning, building of strong trusted relationships and a focus on the development of a talented playing group, this is a critical role to support the ongoing success of the Auckland Storm.  .  This role will also support alignment, consistency and connection across the Auckland Rugby Union women’s community, pathway and high-performance programmes/teams with the aim of developing and retaining quality rugby talent.

 

To be successful within this role, it will require positive and proactive leadership as well as the need to build strong relationships with Auckland Rugby staff, players and the wider Auckland Rugby community.

We are looking for candidates who possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude, are good team players with a healthy sense of humour.

The hours required will fluctuate throughout the year with the busiest period being July to October.  While the Farah Palmer Cup is an amateur competition, this is a paid contractor role.

Role Overview

 

Taranaki Rugby is seeking a Head Coach to lead the Central Roofing Taranaki Whio team campaign.

 

In 2025 the Central Roofing Taranaki Whio will compete in the Championship division of the Farah Palmer Cup presented by Bunnings Warehouse. The Farah Palmer Cup is New Zealand’s premier women’s provincial competition.

 

The Head Coach position is accountable for the performance of the campaign which includes, but is not limited to talent ID, player development, game plan development, campaign and environment planning and leading the management team.

 

As the Head Coach you will collaborate with a range of stakeholders including TRFU staff, clubs, schools, players, team management, support staff and commercial partners.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Head Coach and will have outstanding people management, communication, and relationship skills.

 

They will have a track record for growing and leading players and coaches to create an environment that delivers high standards and positive outcomes.
